SECOND CAREER

Second Career is an Ontario Government Program that provides unemployed individuals with financial support and skill training to assist them in obtaining a job that would be in high demand in our economy.

Second Career is a cost-sharing grant that may provide financial support up to $28,000. Which means you may be asked to contribute what you can to your training or education. This funding will help you pay for your tuition, books, transportation and basic living allowance. Additional support may be offered to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities, dependent care, academic upgrading and costs of living away from home.

To be eligible for Second Career funding you would be laid off within the last 12 months and currently been unemployed or if you are working less than 20 hours per week.
